Lenepveu, Charles (arr. Jean-Louis Couturier)
Fugue à 4
für Trompetenquartett (4 Trompeten in C)
Verlag: Balquhidder MusicStil: RomantikAusgabe: NotenArt-Nr.: V1661 / BQ189 Level: (3-4)

Originally composed for women's voices, this four-voice fugue has been edited for trumpet quartet or trumpet choir by Jean-Louis Couturier. Charles Lenepvue was a 19th century composer who won the Prix de Rome join 1867. Here's some side trivia: He was expected to become the head of the Paris Conservatory but that fell through when he was implicated in an attempt to rig the results of that year's Prix de Rome in favour of his own pupils. But this does not have to affect your enjoyment of playing this fugue. :)

Written for four C trumpets (or trumpet choir) and moderately difficult with a 2'45" duration.
