Quintet for Trombones was written for the well-known Trombone ensemble, I Tromboni when they were one of the featured ensembles in the 2007 Colors of Music Festival in Barrie, Ontario when Ms. Raum was the Composer in Residence. The work is about four minutes in length and has a Toccata-like style, in that the ensemble is passing around the main melody throughout the entire work, keeping the flow and energy constant. This fine work is suitable for advanced performers and all parts are in Bass Clef.
