There are no other issues more worth discussing than love and music! So here they are, both together: Catch Me If You Can is a toccata of love between two people who never actually meet, but interact through music. A genuinely modern experience: not meeting in person, but expressing oneself for and to each other via a media that easily becomes the 'thing' itself in the sense that it defines the ways one can express ones feelings. Really a completely new way of contact between people, not because of the distance (snail mail has worked for centuries), but because of the speed, the immediacy that creates an illusion of presence: there's always that slight delay - one might call Catch Me If You Can 'chat room music'...

So two people with completely different agendas meet, one is fast and in sync with the band, the other slow and completely out of focus... but the slow one accelerates, almost catches the fast one, but speed beyond, even faster - then the fast one turns slow, and so does the other, again... they seem to try and talk, sing even, to each other, attracted... making músic together without ever finding the same beat - slightly sad, the busy activity of the surrounding world, of the orchestra, moves on, unstoppable... and I think, at the very end, they loose sight of each other.
